1. Mix 2 tablespoons of flour with 4 tablespoon of borax and 1 tablespoon of cocoa.

2. Put the mixture into shallow dishes, and leave it out for the roach.

3. If you need a child or pet-safe solution, mix equal parts of baking soda and powdered sugar.

4. Spread the mixture around the infested area. It will kill the roaches.

if you have them in the microwave they are probably somewhere else too. I know this will sound stupid, but it worked for me. Boric Acid and egg. Boil the eggs, cut them up or shred them into tiny peices. Mix it with eht boric acid and sprinkle it where the riaches are. They will be gone in like 2-3 weeks.

Boric Acid powder is the ONLY really effective roach control. And you don't need the boiled eggs. Just sprinkle it along the base of the walls, at the rear of base cabinets and behind stoves, Microwaves and other major appliances. Takes a week or two and then you won't have the problem anymore.

not sure why someone suggested leaving boiled eggs around (which will actually attract more bugs and stink) but a trail of boric acid around the perimeter of your home outside, and along the baseboards & cupboards inside will get rid of them.  If they're getting inside the microwave, then you have a major problem - I'd recommend fogging your house now & then using the boric acid afterwards.
