How can i prevent my ps2 from lagging on my hd tv?

  1. Check to see if you have a game mode on the HD TV.  

    The wii does this as well and the cause of it is the tv trying to upconvert the 480i/p signal to a higher res.

    Try and use component cables for the PS2 to help reduce this
