How can i protect my family from drive by shootings?

I live in pomona ca where there has recently been to consecutive drive by shooting in the last to days, I want to move but can't afford it. I also have a 2 yr old that loves to play outside during the cooler evening hours. I am so afraid. Please help me figure out how to protect my family from these shootings.

welcome to my life!  they have been gang warring at the corner of my block for a while now.  i was okay with that wild life before i had my daughter.  what you should do is, take your child to a safe park to play during those hours, then take him in the house.  it is sad and shouldnt be the way to live...but sometimes you just have to make due until you can make better.

then, focus on doing better so that you are able to move. good luck
