In his summary to the jury, Atticus says: “But there is one way in this country in which all men are created equal-there is one human institution that makes a pauper the equal of a Rockefeller, the stupid man the equal of an Einstein, and the ignorant man the equal of any college president. That institution, gentlemen, is the court.

  1. You don't have to 'prove' it; the statement is enshrined in the US constitution and in English law.

    Equality before the law and the separation of powers (Judiciary, legislature and executive)

    Justice is blind! Regardless of the status or otherwise of the litigants the judge and jury are 'commanded' to be unbiased and to judge cases purely on evidence presented..

    If you want the statutes then I'm sorry I can't help there.
