Tomorrow and Wednesday are the last 2 days or JV volleyball tryouts. I'm a sophmore btw. I love volleyball so much and i really want to be on the team again, but i've not been doing that well at tryouts. Cuts are tomorrow after tryouts! How can i improve and do better, and really show spirit, and convince my coach that i deserve to be on the team? Thank you everyone who answers <3

  1. If you show to your coach that you can bring the team up in a bad time, you can go for anything, and not be afraid to end up on the floor, and you can have consistency, you will OBVIOUSLY make the team. Because in volleyball, attitude is everything. Seriously. If you are having a bad tryout time, just shake it off, and remember, everyday is a NEW day, and just show what your made of, im sure your coach will see that. Oh, and if you made it last year, he should know how good you are, right? :D

  2. all you have to do is work as best you can, stay

focused on what you are doing,

and show how much your heart is in the game.

if she sees you working hard and she'll that you

are really commited to volleyball =)

  3. when someone makes a good pass encourge them. that will shoe the coach that you a team player. always dive for stuff. that will show the coach that your not afraid to go for balls. do get mad if you make a miskate. but dont be too silly.

  4. Be yourself.

You don't have to prove anything as you have been on the team. Your coach knows how good you are.

Occasionally everyone makes mistakes; just make sure you are still so seriously playing volleyball as always. You can try to "do better, and really show spirit", but sometimes it would make you look like unreal, and the coach be confused about who you really are.

So just focus on your fundamentals and be yourself.

  5. have lots of spirit. be loud. be enthusiastic. hussel. go for every ball.

  6. work as hard as you can all the time and always keep a good attitude!

  7. my suggestion would be to play your game. if the coach feels you deserve a spot, he'll put you on the team. never give up, keep a positive attitude, be enthusiastic, be energetic, be a good team player. Show him/her that you are willing to try different techniques and you are willing to improve. Give it all that you have, you have nothing to lose! Good luck, hope his helps!
