I am 21 year old Jamaican who lives with my mom and attend college in The Bahamas. I would like to visit the US with my boyfriend and friends just for vacation/shopping.

i know the US Embasy requires that i show ties to my country. Honestly i dont want to overstay in the US so what documents could i bring to show that I'm not going to stay in the US. I don't work. I don't have a house or car. My mom doesnt have a visa.

  1. You need to go to the embassy and ask them this very same question.  Are perhaps a travel agent?  You probably need a passport, though.

  2. i guess all you can show is your certificate of enrollment in college showing that you're currently enrolled. that way, it shows that you would return to the bahamas to attend college.

whether that's enough or not... we don't really know. all you can do is just cross your fingers and hope you get a visa.

  3. Well, you can not. You do not have work, house or properties to  show that you will not stay in USA.

  4. Well you could try returning to your country.

  5. Usually job, properties, ,marraige, children, study , business are ties, they look at everyone as a potential immigrant if they grant visa..........., it doesn;t matter what is your intention..
