How can i put games on my TI-83 Plus Silver Edition?

I just got a TI-82 Plus Silver Edition calculator for school this year and im not really gonna use it so i heard i could put games on it, but when i put certain games on, it doesnt go in the applications group, it goes in "GROUP" and i cant access it from the calculator, but i cansee it on the device explorer. any ideas how to get them to work?
