How can i put internet on my wii?

i already try going to tools and search for access point but it says that its not

Ok so I will explain this with a few simple steps.

1. Turn on the wii.

2. Click the "wii" button at the wii menu at the bottom left side of the screen.

3. Click "Wii Options."

4. Click the right arrow to get to page 2.

5. Click the "Internet" option.

6. Then I believe you go to "connection 1" or something. Then, depending on what kind of internet connection you have, you click one of the choices. "Search for an access point" is probably what you will be looking for.

7. You choose an access point. Choose one with as many green bars and one that is unlocked.

8. The wii will do an internet connection test and if it is successfull, you will be connected!

You need to go into the Wii's settings and use your wireless connection to  get the internet running. It'll tell you to put the code and password in if you have a secure network.

9. Then go to the shopping channel i think its called if you want to surf the web. and download the channel

Hook up the wifi cable to your wii and attach other end to your internet box if you have wirless make sure your reciver sends out a wireless signal as well.
