How can i put items diagonally on The Sims 2 PC?

I downloaded loads of houses for the sims 2 pc, and in some of them there are items placed diagonally on some squares, also there are some placed diagonally in pre-made houses. when i try to decorate my own houses, i cant place objects diagonally. How can i do thia?

in cheat window enter:

boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true

and then to actually turn the furniture, you use the < and > keys on the keyboard. Also using

moveobjects on

and

boolprop snapobjectstogrid false

helps when decorating
