How can i raise my reading level?

ive been reading alot of higher reading level books to help me get ready for high school and my reading level hasnt even gone up a point so i was woundering...

What are some tips that can help higher my reading level ?

Find some book clubs online where you can discuss your books as you read them, or find in-person book clubs where you live.  Applying what you read is most important!  You should be able to critique what you have read.  Also, a range of reading such as science, philosophy and areas that really challenge you are good.  If you don't understand it, take the time to reread until you understand it better.  Also, get a vocubulary-building book and use it to expand your vocabulary.  All those should help.

Read more and with a dictionary, use the words you dont know and looko em up

I would study roots (greek, latin, etc.) to make it easier to get the gist of what words mean.

That way, even if you don't know the dictionary definition of a word, you can still understand the main ideas behind the stories.
