How can i record 90 minutes plus of audio on a CD?

I need to record aabout 1.5 hours of audio on a CD. This is for a church service and i dont want to run to 2 CDs.

  1. You could also try the mp3 format - most CD players can play mp3.


  2. On a CD,78 minutes is your limit, I'm afraid. That was the length decide upon so that they could fit Beethoven's complete Ninth Symphony, all four movements, on a single CD. That is, unless you want to save them in a different format or on a different media. DVD will hold (4.8Gb) in relation to a CD (650Mb) and Windows Media Audio files take up less room than mp3 files, it is up to the individual to decide what suffers when they record to differing formats and different bit rates and make adjustments accordingly. I know this is not a technical term but this really is a case of, "suck it and see". Whatever you like, that's what is right. Good luck.

    You might need new burner, new software.

    I recommend two cds and two cd players in church.

  4. in windows media player go to setting and change the bitrate to 32kbps and you will have more time but the sound quality will be reduced
