How can i record audio with length more than 10min?

please give me some tips or suggestion, i want to record some sound files, but my sound recorder has only 60 second lenth.. do you have any idea to increase it to more than 10 min or do i need to download application(what is it?)?

Try "Audacity" at soundforge.net - it is free.

It can record much longer than 10 minutes, but I'm not sure of the maximum length.
