How can i recover a password on my computer?

Are there any free full programs that allow me to recover a password that is on my computer. I saved my password on facebook in firefox but it is hidden with black dots for each character. I know i can just sign on but i want to know the password. I don't remember it since i've been gone for a while. can you help me figure out what it is?

FF should have an option to show password. Tools>>Options>>Security, then a button for Saved Passwords
