How can i recover deleted videos from my hdd/dvd recorder??

i accidentally wiped out my whole video collection while i was trying to dub a drama from hdd to dvd!! please help me.. im really desperate..

dvr>> mitsubishi vhs/dvd/hdd recorder

and its japanese... i just want to know if its possible and how..

recover your system to the day and moment your computer had all the stuff you want.  if you dont get what im saying heres an example.

i deleted my game on thursday of 2007.  i recovered it to the date of wednesday of 2007.  

i guess if you dont get what im saying then your computer doenst have that program i do ? O_o
