  1. Yeah, I remember the first time I tried =/. But after a little practice with it, your fine (knowing that you won't actually go stab yourself in the eye). Just stay calm through the whole thing.

    1. Gently pull up the top lid with your middle finger (non dominant hand).

    2. With the lens on the index finger of the other hand, pull the lower lid down with the other middle finger.

    3. Insert gently and blink a few times.

    Maybe a diagram? http://www.alconlabs.com/au/eo/clc/B3_In...

    Hope that helps! =]

  2. I think anybody who started wearing contacts had a little trouble at first!

You will have to get used to eyedrops though because you will still need to use them. Daily actually because contacts do dry out.

    Here's my method:

Place the contact on the pointer finger of your left hand and place a drop or two of eye drops into it.

Use your right hand to hold open both lids of your eye. Use the thumb and pointer finger at an angle, at the side of your face. Place the thumb at the base of your lower eye lid, right where your cheek bone puffs out. Place your pointer finger a little below the eyebrow and spread them out. This will open your eyelids but not make you feel as if you are too close to your eye.

Lean into the mirror for a better view and slowly put the contact over your eye. The moisture will help it not be sticky and will make transition easier.

Blink a few times to set it into position and move on the other eye.

It takes a while to get used to them. When I first started, my doctor told me to wear them for just an hour a day for a week, then 2 hours a day for a week, and so on until I got to where I could wear them all day.

You will most likely still need glasses though. I wear my contacts all day when I am out and about and then take them out and put on my glasses at night when I'm not really going anywhere or don't necessarily need sunglasses if I do. Your eyes need to breathe after a while and just taking them out while you sleep doesn't count! Especially if you have high tendencies for astigmatisms like I do.

    Good luck!
