How can i remove a street sign?

There is a street sign that is no longer needed in my neighborhood and I was wondering how i can remove it.

Its a green one, named Merchant street.

Can i use tools around the house?

depends on how it is put together

you probably need a pick up truck to remove the stuff

and a few wrenches ,put a rope around it and pull it over if it is to high

maybe you need  an angle grinder to take it to bits ,if it is rusted

needed or not the street sign is city property and you will get charged if you remove it.You will need to approach council and put a petition forward to have city works dept remove the sign

Get some orange construction cones, a six pack of beer (www.drinkyourbeer.com is a great source for beer info.), borrow a friend's car (preferably an electric or hybrid www.GoElectricNow.com is a great source for info about those), wait until it's dark, use the cones to close the street, consume the six pack of beer, use friend's car to hit sign, find a neigbors house where a pesky teenager lives, park car on their lawn, throw empty six pack over their fence along with the keys to your friends car, and go home and sleep.  Report friend's car stolen in the morning and everything will be okay.
