  1. Use about 3 cups straight vinegar.  Be sure to thoroughly clean it out when your done but this should remove all that nasty buildup

  2. I de-scale mine by filling it with white vinegar, turning it on then letting it run through the system. If it hasn't been done for a while,I allow the pipes to fill with the hot vinegar, then I leave the machine to go cold(or just leave it over night)I then reheat it in the morning, let the vinegar run through completely, then run 3 complete cycles with clean fresh water to rinse it,and there you go,one clean limescale free coffee machine!!!

Its not as long winded as this sounds,I'm just not too hot with explaining things on here lol I'm much better face to face.

  3. Calcium deposits on a coffeemaker (like a Mr. Coffee style) are best removed by using white distilled vinegar through the brew cycle.  I put in a filter when running it to catch the deposits, but that isn't completely necessary.

It is imperative that you run two brew cycles with fresh water afterwards, dumping the water between those cycles.  Besides getting out the nasty vinegar-y taste, it also removes loosened deposits that didn't come out the first time.

Then I usually wash the filter basket and decanter just to be on the safe side.

They also sell coffeemaker deposit removal packs at your local supermarket for really nasty deposits, but those are harsh chemicals, so make sure to follow the directions to the letter.

    Good luck!

  4. Run a bottle of vinegar through a brewing cycle, then plain water twice more.

  5. I presume you mean the calcium/limescale build up?

If you don't want to use a chemical descaler, which is readily available then you could try vinegar - you need to put it in and leave overnight.

    Then rinse thoroughly.

  6. try one of those dishwashing tabs they advertise on telly

  7. Every 2 weeks or so a coffee machine should have a pot of vinegar and water 50/50 run through it and then just run a pot of water through.

If you have an issue with build up in bottom of pot, put a couple lemon slices and a  teaspoon of salt in it and swish it around, it will not take long to dissolve the build up, then you rinse it out real good.

  8. At the dollar store only a dollar, (or in regular stores it is about 5 dollars)........get a container of oxygen all purpose spot remover.......over where they sell laundry detergent.....

I put a scoop in the item I want to clean.......tea or coffee...or other food stains..glass, metal, plastic.......bubbles it right out......rinse with hot water several times.

You could try putting baking soda in the container and then adding hot water and letting it sit.....

  9. run your coffe machine with vinagar and then again with just water.
