How can i remove candle wax stains?

its on my door. its a red candle and i scraped away all the wax but now its just stains. how can i remove it?

  1. try hot water it might remelt the wax(theres still some left if theres a stain) and it would start to get runny then you could probably wipe it away.. or call a professional cleaner and get professional advise.. either way worx!!

  2. Take a piece of cardboard, place it over the stain, and then "iron" over the cardboard with a hot clothing iron. the heat will melt the embedded wax and the cardboard will pick it up off the door.

  3. Place a plastic bag with ice over the stain and try to scrape away as much wax as possible and clean the stain with some rubbing alcohol.

  4. Sorry to say but red dye is the unforgivable dye... I have never heard of anything that will get that color out.

  5. The iron should work, but I'd use an old cloth - preferably white - instead of cardboard.
