  1. Commercial "Bug and Tar Removers" also work, and are what I've always used.  Unless you got it really bad like it was left under a tree for a year, this stuff works good.

  2. try spraying it with WD-40 and let it soak awhile to see if it will soften it up enough to take it off.

  3. Acetone.Then rewax.Trust me.

  4. 3m has a product out called adhesive, mark remover it works great , it also takes off that gluey residue left behind from decal and pin stripping.

  5. Really hot water, let it sit for a while (at least 10 or so minutes of constant hot water on it), then take a soft toothbrush and firmly rub it off. That method will take a while though, but it won't damage the car one bit.

I've heard hot lemon juice works too, but I think that will fade the color.. not sure, I wouldn't suggest it.

Also try a hot rag and buff at it.

Good luck not messing with the paint job!

  6. buy a new  hood in the junk yard

    or

you can...TRY and scrape it off, and you will need to ruin the paint(sorry) and then re-paint/sand and touch it up.

if it works, i forget the name but it helps with stickey stuff like a goo off or something.

just paint the whole thing with it,then buy the color paint of the car and go over it(maybe)
