When i record voice overs for my animations or trailers, i get back ground static, and its really annoying and unprofessional.

Any way to avoid it?

My microphone is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-ECMMS907-CE7-Microphone/dp/B00005QBUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1212351847&sr=8-1

  1. Is your microphone an electret type? If it is, try a dynamic one and see if this solves the problem.

  2. I think you have to put a fliter on it.....

  3. Either turn down the mic volume just a little bit, and/or make sure sure the mic boost isn't enabled if you have the volume turned right up. Also, it looks as if you will need to buy a Windshield (mic foam) for your mic. This will reduce the background noise by quite a bit.
