  1. You can vacuum it up using the skimmer system, put a 1.5 inch vacuum hose into the suction side and suck it up into your filter or purchase a pool vacuum to do the same thing but bypassing your filter.  Where is the sand coming from?  If it is coming from your sand filter you have a crack in your piping and need to get that fixed.

  2. You can start a siphon with a water hose, assuming you don't have a filter system with a bottom cleaning mechanism, once siphon is started get in with goggles and start vaccuming the sand out.  It will waste some water but most pools do when cleaning the filters.

To speed the process you can walk circles around in the pool to cause the water to spin and wait about an hour and most of the sand should be in the middle.

  3. your going to have to go to a pool supply store, they will probably tell you a sweeper will do the trick.

  4. I have the exact same problem, I've had a little bit of luck with a leaf rake from leslies and the lame little vaccuum that came with the pool.  But it's not enough to get the rest out.  I've searched everywhere trying to figure out a solution good luck! Hope u get a good answer.
