  1. I have the same problem on my Bronco (darn the neighbors' sprinklers).  I've looked around and decided to have it detailed.  There are a lot of maybes (eg polish) out there and other methods actually can cause damage to the glass and paint.  Keep in mind the stains cover the entire driver side of this beast and they've been there a while...meaning the clearcoat has taken a beating.  Depending on the expanse of the stains and the condition of the car, you may want to take the easy way out like me.

  2. when you wash your car dry using a chammy leather or i use a clean tea towel .if you can polish using a product containing carnuba wax  this will give a long lasting finish and leaves a good result after washing .

  3. if by stain you mean rust... then your only recourse is to re-paint the car. IF you mean heavy water spots, then your local auto parts store should carry a product called clay bar. Use that product exactly as directed and it will remove your water stains
