  1. Try FSR it is oxalic acid in a gel form. It is available at most marine stores. It will clean and bleach the gel coat without damaging it. Be sure to wax the surface after.

  2. Just don't paint it.  The yellowing may indicate that the material has degraded.  If it's awnings, shades or other parts of your boat that has no structural value I would only test paint an area first.  I'm thinking that if you paint it, it'll scratch easily and come off in patches leaving you with something worse than when you started.

  3. fibre glass restorer hull cleaner

  4. the colour is a die put into the top coat of the fiberglass called gell coat it should polish up with t cut unless it has been repainted or compounded through the gell coat

  5. This is just the new jelcoat colour. Use the same jelcoat to recover it but it is not important for sailing.

  6. paint it

  7. There are many products available from most chandlers to deal with this. Some are abrasives (or mixes of abrasives and wax) and others are chemicals that you paint on,leave for a length of time and wash off,-it depends on how bad the yellowing is,which type you need. Usually the less work you have to do ,the dearer the product will be!

  8. There is a way to get the yellowness you are referring to which is due to discolouration of the gel due to sun exposure ,but be warned once you start you will end up re -gel coating all the boat so try flatting the area with 1200-1500 wet/dry then compound then a good polish good luck

  9. Paint it.

  10. 1ST. try scrubbing it with meratic acid. You'll find it at any good boat store.  If there is also hull damage that needs to be repaired and it doesn't clean then GEL-COAT not paint.  I like bluewater 2 part epoxy. Make sure you use a self etching ablative primer as well, and spray it not brush.

bottom line if you have never done a large job like repainting a car hire someone to do it.
