  1. sounds like a job for Marine-tex

  2. You are lucky, a fibreglass hulled boat can be repaired simply and cheaply by virtually anyone with minimal cost. A small fibre glass repair kit from your local car accessories shop will include resin, hardner and matting which basically is all you need. If your dory is not double skinned patch from inside and out. Almost any paint will take reasonably well.

  3. im not sure what a dory is to be honest but you can repair fibreglass with a repair kit ask at your local autostore as they are used to repair badly damaged or rusted bodywork on cars.

  4. get a fibreglass repair kit, and to the paint, primer, undercoat and top coat

  5. Don`t use paint to finish - in place of car body filler, use gelcoat filler - more compatable with the original finish and a better bond.

  6. you can buy thin sheets of fibre glass and the resin from all good diy stores or boat shops, fix on thye inside of the hull and use car body filler to smooth the outside the use a water proof paint and then yhact varnish this worked on my kayak so it should work on yours
