  1. I'm assuming you're getting an error that tells you that firefox needs to be restarted, since it's not responding. Wait a little while. If that doesn't help, go into the task manager (Ctrl+alt+del), go to "Applications", right click on Firefox, and select "end process".

  2. open it!

  3. Ctrl-Alt-Delete

    --

    Processes

    --

    Firefox.exe

    --

    End Process (Or End Task).

    --

    Viola. You can restart it.

  4. Restart Firefox in what way? Delete all private information so it's back to default? If that's the case then go to your "Tools" tab in the browser and then click "Clear Private Data" and a new window should appear. Ensure all the boxes are ticked and then click "Clear Private data now".

If you mean restarting Firefox because a message came up stating that you couldn't open it because another browser was open, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete. A new window should appear. Click "Processes" and keep pressing "F" till the word "Firefox" appears. Then click "End task". Once that is done, you have the ability to open a new browser once more.

  5. You have to include important details like:

    1) what operating system you are using

    2) what version of Firefox you're using

Firefox 3 makes it easy to restart after you install an extension or theme, or update an existing extension. You can restart it by using File:Exit on Windows or Firefox:Quit on Mac. If you want to be able to return to the same web pages (again, YOU HAVE TO SAY STUFF!), Ctrl+Alt+Del or Force-quit Firefox and reload it, or change the configuration to automatically load the previous session.

  6. You have to close it first.
