How can i restore system in safe mode???

in windows xp sp2.but is it risky will i be able to change pc setting back? plz answer all questions. thnx alo 4 ur help!

  1. What, exactly, do you want to restore? You have to understand Safe Mode, first. All it does is that it runs only the necessary files on your computer. Your system? You can easily do a System Restore in Safe Mode, if you want.

    The only times I've ever used Safe Mode was to uninstall an antivirus program because it refused to let my computer run normally.

    All you do is restart it and wait a few seconds and tap F8 repeatedly, and it will come up with a list of how you want to start up your computer. Down the list will read, "Safe Mode."


  2. have a system restore. Click the Start menu, then all programs, then accessories, then system tools, then click SYSTEM RESTORE!

  3. First of all, enter in safe mode.

    Start your system and repeatedly press F8, to show startup options. highlight 'safe mode' and press enter.

    Now, system restore WILL undo your settings (might completely or partially) because it is meant to do it.
