  1. i put a cargo carrier thing in the back of the bike...the one that goes on to the seat pole....then i get two pieces of pvc pipe and strap it to the carrier and then to the fork where my back tire is....this way i could just drop a pole into each pipe and the strap my little ice chest to the carrier and a fairly loose strap around the poles and ice chest so that it wont wiggle around too much..the tackle and reels are in a small back pack that i just wear...i also though about putting  a small little basket on the handle bars to put the fish in but i figured that the fish i was aiming for and catching would never fit in the basket...so i just stuff it in my back pack or tie the stringer of fish to one or both sides of my handle bar and ride back...

  2. This is a very interesting question because bike angling is becoming a very popular way to fish now-a-days. A lot of trails do not allow motorized vehicles to some prime fishing spots. I've seen some bikes rigged specifically for the purpose of fishing and some are quite extreme. We're talking coolers, bait tanks and such. As to your question, A rod case isn't a bad way to go but strapping it around your neck and across your back  will hurt you after a long ride.  Try rigging the rod case across your handle bars by ways of duct tape, nylon straps or you can get fancy and bolt it on in some way. Hope that helps. ~good luck catchin'.

  3. Rod case that slings around your neck would be your best bet.  They will protect your rod from breakage.

  4. Get a one foot piece of PVC pipe pluggeg at one end. Then bungee cord it to somewhere on the bike, ie,  the front forks, seat post, nutcracker bar ...
