How can i run BSNL broadband through ethernet?

i want to run my bsnl broadband on ethernet..presently i m doin it on USB...also i want to run 4 systems on it..pls temme all requiremnts for it..means if i have to connect it thru ethernet modem or other hardware requiremnts..i also want to know hw to define IP address thru it..means how to strt & how to finish..do temme all tht step by step..??? hlp me out frns

  1. U need a Switch, it may be 4 port to 24 port as per your requirement.

    Then connect the ADSL with the switch and configure it. The default IP of the ADSL will be 192.168.1.1. Type the IP in browser as address, user and paswd will be supplied by the ADSL vendor.

    I think u know ur BSNL user ID and pswd .

    Then Configure / Edit WAN setting:

    VPI/VCI = 0/35 Service = pppoe_0_35, Protocol = PPPoE

    U cand change the ADSL IP and Enable DHCP server from LAN setup

    then save and reboot


  2. If u have Got Modem CD from BSNL Then connect ur modem to Ethernet Port And Install that CD When U installin CD select ur proper modem.
