  1. I do it all the time.  You get such a pretty variety.  My house looks like a tropical forest according to my husband and friends.  I love mixing plants.  I don't do anything different and they grow like crazy.  My prayer plant has beautiful little tiny purple flowers that look like miniature orchards.  Try it, you will be happy with the things you can do and arrangements by mixing 2 or 3 plants together.  Just a word.  If you want your plants to be bushy, when you transplant, if the roots are all clumped together, you can cut them without damaging the plant.  The only palnts I do not advise you mix with another are African violets.  They need a special soil and die easily if mixed.  Otherwise, have fun.

  2. make sure they are not the same s*x because in some states it is illegal to join same s*x plants. Be very, very careful.

  3. Just be sure that both the plants have the same requirements

(as in sun exposure, water needs, etc.) and gently knock them

out of their present pots, or turn them upside down carefully, as to

not damage them, though plants do take alot of abuse or rough handling at times. and survive or revive soon enough!

Then repot them together in another pot larger than their

    original ones......and wha-la!

You will have safely joined two plants to become one!

Good luck and my congratulations to the happy couple!
