i just moved back to my home city (its big) and I'm looking for some kind of activity to pick up. I have sort of a confidence where I'm in dream world all the time, but I believe I can do it. Like I'll zone out and see myself hitting a home run no problem in game 7 of the world series. Or just knocking out Carmello Anthony when he tries to play physical with me in the NBA. I'm looking for a hobby I can get good at and dominate cause I don't do anything really right now. I bought a basketball yesterday and have been dribbling a lot in the street, working on my dribbling skills. Want to start playing at the street courts.

I'm into anything where I perform in front of people.

I like giving speeches, dancing for people, answering questions, whatever. How can i satisfy this need for constant attention? I've been trying to get a job as a server, host, salesperson, anything that talks. But I always end up with a non talking job and I feel like my potential is being wasted. What can I do

  1. Look up Walter Mitty. He's a character invented by James Thurber to illustrate  "an ordinary, often ineffectual person who indulges in fantastic daydreams of personal triumphs."

Therapy could help you. You need to learn a way to find validation from within yourself. Otherwise you'll just be showing off all the time, alienating people and it will never make you happy.

  2. try being a comic

  3. Join a dramatic or debating society.  Get a soapbox and a corner in Hyde-park, London, England.  Write nasty letters to the editor of your local newspaper, school paper.  Start an advise column for disabled homo's. If you want to talk, talk to the man in the street, the waiter, bank manager, open a blog(?) etc..  Where is your imagination?

    Peace.
