  1. You can burn your PowerPoint on CD/DVD, but you should have a DVD burner in your computer, beside, you should have burning software installed in your computer, you can download NERO then installed, it's free. By this way, you can make a data CD (can only play on computer with PowerPoint installed)

If you want to make a playable then play your PowerPoint on DVD machine and so on, you should convert your PowerPoint to the DVD format at first, here is 3 ways for you.

    1. Windows Movie Maker, save you presentation to JEPG format then import this those pictures into windows movie maker but the animations and sounds will lost.

    2. Using PPT2DVD to convert it directory to DVD. You can download this tool from http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/download/power... Import the presentation, and then click next to convert your PowerPoint, and then click next to burn your presentation. After that the CD can play on any computer or TV with a DVD machine.

    3. Using some screen record like comtasia, you can record your screen when your play your presentation on computer.

  2. I don't know where the person who first answered this got his information, but I have XP, and there is no such thing as "drag and drop" to put something from my computer onto a CD or DVD. I have both, and I use Nero. It takes a CD or DVD burner and the program to run it. The only drag and drop that exists is a floppy disk. And it won't hold a good-sized powerpoint presentation.

  3. If you use XP or above, it support drag and drop, you can do it like normal copying. So it's not necessary to have Nero. After that there's an option to burn. You can save in DVD if you have DVD burner

  4. You need to have a DVD burner in your computer.

In order to get a higher quality, you'd better use some professional PowerPoint burning tool to help you.

Burn your PowerPoint to DVD with Acoolsoft PPT2DVD,

it is a professional PowerPoint to DVD conversion tool which helps you easily burn PowerPoint to DVD, or converts them to MPEG Video.

With 3-Click simplicity, you can burn your PowerPoint presentations on DVD with transitions, animations, sound and movies retained.

You can even create flexible DVD Menus for your PowerPoint presentations to play on TV with a DVD remote control.

You can read more about this tool from:

    http://www.ppt-to-video.com/powerpoint-t...

Or simply you can download a free trial version first:

  5. E.M. PowerPoint Video Converter can help u convert PowerPoint to DVD, easy-to-use

    http://www.google.com/search?&q=E.M.+Pow...

. One step to convert PowerPoint presentations to your iPod, PSP, Zune, 3GP mobile phone(Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola), Apple TV, iPhone, etc.

. Convert and Burn PowerPoint file to DVD, SVCD, VCD and Audio CD.

. Support the output video formats: AVI, MPEG, MPEG2 TS, MP4, WMV, 3GP, GIF, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, H.264/PSP AVC Video, MOV, SWF, FLV, etc..

. Extract and Convert PowerPoint file audio to other popular audio formats, like MP2, MP3, AC3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG, AAC, AU, MMF etc..

. Convert PowerPoint presentations to JPG, BMP, TAG, TIFF, PNG image

  6. insert blank cd, drag your file on cd, go to my computer and right click on cd burner icon>write this file on cd (or something like that)

you wont need nero and any other software

  7. Most programs cannot save DIRECTLY to a CD or DVD.  So save the file to some place on your hard drive.  You can then use Windows file manager (what the first guy called drag-and-drop - Lucee is wrong in her accusation, above) to move (better to use the copy function) to shift the file from the hard drive to whichever compact disc drive your computer has.  Windows has a built-in CD "burner" function which works when you use the copy-to function in Windows.
