I walk to work, my neighbours don't,

I quit smoke, my friends don't,

I reduce water consumption at home, my neighbours wash car

How can i save the world, the future of our own?

I think you've gotten off to a very great start, and you are healthier for doing it.

I know you feel like your spinning your wheels in sand but your not.

The problem I think is that everybody doesn't your mind set yet.

Are there other people around you that feel the same way?

If there is maybe you could get together and start a neighborhood recycling drive.  

Contact your county commissioner, your sanitation department, to see if they have a recycling center before you start.

What can you do to help spread the word about recycling and how important it is?    

Take one baby step at a time; don't feel bad about your friends not doing anything to help. That's the way it is sometime.

You have courage, determination. and just keep telling yourself, that you are happy in what you are doing.

It's really a positive thing your wanting to help in such a huge project.

We can only change ourselves and hope that our example will encourage others. If you talk openly about what you chose to do and don't tell others what they should do, they will hear you. I love to share my latest effort and sometimes I don't think others care.

As gas prices go up, people are asking about our hybrids. I have a sister in law who is a hair stylist, she just changed her retail line to an ecofriendly line. At a recent dinner party we all began talking about recycling and I was able to share great information, not only where to bring it, but why it is important.

Just keep making positive changes in your life that reduce your impact on the earth and share with others what you are doing, especially those that can save money. The economy is taking a downturn and many people will need to cut back, hopefully you will be a resource for them.

Recomend you plant trees and recycle and dont use chemicals to clean. just plain water if possible

Keep doing what you're doing and just feel good about doing your part. With any luck your example will someday wake up those around you. If someday never comes, at least you've done what you could.
