You can unplug the cords and stash them somewhere only you know or put passwords on it.  Be sure to check ctrl+alt+delete on the sign in you can choose administrator and put in administrator as the password and get into your pc that way just as an FYI

It depends what you mean by that question.

If you want to secure it from other people from the network. The best piece of software is Norton 360 Version 2. It lets you Deny people on your network, and only allow certain computers to access.

You have the option to give them full trust (they can share files with you...) or Deny them which won't let them in at ALL.

If your talking about securing your PC from internet hackers, the best thing to get it an Anitvirus soloution such as Norton 360, Mcaffe... Optionally if you wanted something free, you can download AVG Antivirus from http://free.avg.com although the free version won't protect you from people over your network from accessing your files.

If you have a fingerprint scanner on your computer, use that to restrict access of your computer.

On a basic level, just enable password at start-up and when you put your computer to sleep and when screensaver is on.
