How can i see a copy of the birth records if i didnt see them when he was born?

where do i go to get birth records of a child that was said was mine may 11th by the mother and i seen him but no birth documents?

  1. The birth documents are not really proof of parentage- only  a DNA test can do that.

    Go to the Records dept of the city the child was born in and they have copies of all birth certificates.

  3. You can go to your local records office, if you are as a father on the birh certificate all you need is an id. If she just told you but you are not on the birth certificate then you can not get it. Why don't you just ask her? It will probably be the best way.

  4. Are you listed on the birth certificate? If not I don't think you can legally see the birth records. If so usually you can get a copy of the birth certificate from The county the child is born in (from the courthouse maybe). They usually will mail you a copy and usually it cost money.
