How can i see if a friend is online in Multiply without them seeing that i viewed their page?

Currently, to see if a friend is online, you have to be logged in yourself. But when you view a friend's page logged in, they can see that you browsed through their page.

Is there a way to know if they are online anonymously?

Instead of going to their site, if they have posted something recently, you should be able to see their user pic (or just go to your contact page) and then click on their user pic and it says when their last login was or if they are currently online.
