How can i see what the weather was like at a location in the past?

I'm trying to plan a wedding and am wondering what the weather will be like. do you know of any sites that i can go to that will show what the weather is usually like in a certain area?

It would be a big help to know where the wedding will be in California.

Inland or coastal area? What is the nearest big city?
