You need to find the cause of the pain, (such as a rib out of place.

very painful and aggravating)

You have to put pressure on the problem area.  I have had good results with a small block of wood and I have used a baseball.

I also swing my legs from side to side before I fall asleep and before I get out of bed.  Relax your lower back and swing your hips 90 degrees.

Start by using whatever inflamation meds that you can.  Ibu 800's work great for me...take one or two and cut with aspirin or tylenol.

If you have a bulging disk, you won't be able to self-treat, it will require at the very minimum a chiropractor, if not a medical doctor.
