IS THERE A LETTER FORMAT STATING THE DATE AND THE SERIAL # AND ALSO MODEL # OF THE FIREARM TO BE PUT ON PAPER TO COVER EACH OTHER INCASE OF ANYTHING

Go to your local PD and have the front desk staff run the firearm, so the buyer knows it is a clean gun, they will also run the buyer so you will know he is not a convicted felon, etc... so you will not be held responsible if he does stupid with it. Get a bill of sale made up and have a notary sign off on it. Guns are not like selling a stereo...........CYA!
