How can i set u a router for my laptop?

i need specific directions on how to set up my new internet router.

its a trednet router.with 108 mbps

The router came with a install Disk, install the program, with the router disconnected from the lap top. Then shut down laptop. Plug in your router into the laptop and have the program load.

most routers are plug and play, meaning they are already automatically configured to work, you just have to plug it in.

First step is plugging in the power cable....obviously, no electronics  works without power. Plug the one end into the out let and the other end into the only hole it will fit into on the router.

Next step is to an ethernet cable(cat5) from the modem to the router. This hooks the router up to the internet. On most routers there will be a slot that is an independent color for the cable from the modem to plug into.

Next step is just to plug another ethernet cable into one of the 4 open ports and plug it into your laptop and you are good to go.
