Buy the right kind of rope. Speed ropes are designed to spin super fast. Of course you have to practice but start doing the skipping where you&#039;re not jumping but your feet are doing the running motion and you&#039;re alternating your feet. What you do is build a normal pace for 10 seconds and then begin to speed it up to a max speed for 5 seconds, and then repeat.

Don&#039;t try to go max speed the whole time or you&#039;ll just tire out fast and get nothing out of it.
