i have sourond sound in my room for gaming, movies and music. even when i have it down the bass can still be heard in the room above mine and the room right next to it, i need to make it so they cant hear it cause im normally awake late because of my work schedule so when im up playing games and listening to music everyone else is sleeping. i know they have foam i could buy but i cant actually put it inside the walls cause that would cost to much, could i just put it on top and just cover it with posters or somthing? idk any ideas? only want to spend between $200-$300 on this.

  1. Styrofoam is the best get it at any hardware store get it at about 4 inches thick all around the walls you want them on even do your door to that way you will not hear the cars coming by in the day time are even night time are any noise i hope i helped out i did my sons room now he cant hear any thing when the door is closed in no noise coming thur the walls either try it out it has been working great at my house now for over 7 months

  2. you don't have to spend anything.

    thick carpet on the floor.

towels across the walls.. with a little gap in between them and the walls.

    works brilliantly.

if you still need it better proofed then switch the towels with blankets.

    good luck!

  3. Putting up cork on the walls should make a big difference.  Plus, you can use it for your bulletin board!
