  2. ok there are 3 ways.

    1.add more memory

2.defrag your hard drive.(windows defrag is slow) try diskeeper the best

3.save all your pics, music, movies and files on dvd or cd.then reinstall windows .this will make it work brand new as the first day u got it.but please save your files on dvd,cd or external hard drive before u reinstall windows, which will erase every thing on your system.

  3. Delete any unwanted programs or files. Then run a virus scan to make sure you have no viruses. Those will make your computer go deathly slow. Another helpful thing is running a program like registry mechanic. It will defiantly help if you have recently deleted any big files or done something dramatic to the computer. If none of that works you may need to upgrade your RAM. For the average person 1 to 2 gb of RAM is good and it also helps to have a processor that is 2ghz or faster.

  4. drefrag your harddrive and do disk cleanup, (both in system tools).

  5. You can always upgrade your RAM. That is the cheapest and most efficient way to speed up your computer.

Clean up anything unwanted on your computer. Use CCleaner (you can get this at http://www.ccleaner.com/) and do daily defragmentations.

Keep your computer virus free. Do daily scans.

  6. try deleating some of the unwanted stuff of the hard-drive, or get help to do a dfrag

  7. You can defragment it. It should help.

  11. It could be slow because of a virus.  Get a good virus scanning software like Norton.  Do a full system scan and hopefully that will speed it up.

If nothing comes up, go into accessories\system tools\defragmentation.  Defrag will help organize data in the computer, it will allow the programs to run quickly.

If it is still slow, hit ctrl alt Delete.  A window will pop up and it will show all the programs that are running.  If there is a lot of programs that are running in the background, that will slow the computer.  Click on them and then on end program at the bottom.

If that doesn't work, you can spend about $150 to buy a new RAM stick.  It will speed the computer up a little.  Look inside the computer first to see if you have room.  It is on the mother board.  They are the long skinny bars. http://www.pcbargainhunter.com/images/ra...

  12. Delete all offline content, files, browser history, cookies. Disk clean up and defrag. Store photos on disk and not your pc as they take up alot of space.
