How can i spike harder?

I am already the best hitter on my team and i was wondering how i can get myself to hit like the division I volleyball players

  1. First thing is your approach. Take one big step with your left foot, then 2 step into the ground. Use your arms to get your momentum in the air. While you are in the air, Swing your right arm back behind your head as if you were shooting a bow and arrow. Your other arm should be straight out to where you want to hit the ball. When you hit the ball(with the heel of your hand), snap your wrist so that when defence hits it, it will got backwards. Follow through on your hit but be able to control your body so that you dont touch the net.


  2. Elbow high, Snap your wrists hard and follow through.

  3. The weight room and flexibility will help as well.

  4. Find a division I coach for private lesson, or in camp.

  5. Try all of these:

    1. Make sure you always keep your hand firm.

    2. Snap your wrist down.

    3. Swing all the way through.

    4. Do you approach quick, to gain speed and momentum to carry you up.

    5. AND... swing your hips to bring you more power.

  6. Try to hit the middle of the ball and take out all your anger on the ball.

    If your not angry just think that ball killed your mom.

    It worked for me.

  7. Private lessons are great. If there are clubs near you, you can probably schedule one there.
