How can i start Acting?

How can i start acting? like how can i start being in movies? i really want to be an actress

start smaller than the movies.  those of us living in LA with experience and talent have a hard enough time getting movie roles.  try taking an acting class and doing school or community plays first and see where it takes you.

You need to start off small and work you way up, but you really have to WORK. Try taking acting classes, get some under your belt. Then find a community theater you can become a part of. Do that for years. Get experience. Then go from there!

haha you cant just be in a movie. take some acting classes or get involved in school plays and drama classes. then make  potfolio. add headshots(proffesional) and a resume. then join a talent agency.(be careful 80% are scams) go to auditions.   to practice find monolouges online and say them in front of a mirror.

You can start by looking for whatever theatre community you have in your town.  Many have online message boards or post in the local paper.  Keep your eyes open for audition notices in the Arts section of your newspaper, typically.

Also, check out the websites of local theatres.  They will usually keep links to current shows and upcoming shows... often with audition dates, times, and locations.  Many also offer acting classes you can take.

If you are in school, you should have plays already going on.  If you are school-age, many communities also offer children's theatre.

Don't feel like you have to go to Hollywood to make films either.  Chances are there are independent filmmakers in your town that are looking for actors and extras at any time.  These gigs may or may not pay, but it's getting experience that counts in the beginning.  You'll also want to really consider the differences between film acting and stage acting and decide what is right for you.  The films I have done I've gotten through word-of-mouth, but many times, they post for auditions like theatres do.
