How can i start a big community service project?

Question

Do i have to be part of a club? is it necessary? Because me and some friends want to raise money/food for the kids in haiti or africa because im not sure if anyone knows but 37% of the towns in africa are provided with clean fresh waters so they are trying to raise money to build wells and also the children in haiti are having to make mudd pies and eat them because they dont have any food so me and some freinds want to make a community service project to were we can raise money and collect it to help those in need but we dont know exactly how to start or what to do...HELP!

jessicuhh its lindsay :D lol ok dude who responded first we want to know how to help the kids in AFRICA and HAITI not the dumbass people here who do drugs because there dumb. we want to help the lesss fortunate you  know the 9 year old kids who take care of there 4 year old brother because theere parents died of AIDS so if you want to help us tell us suggestions on helping AFRICA AND HAITI ok there are kids out there who have swollen tummies because they dont get to eat for weeeks so dont start with the whole omg america and drugs get over it. if anyone has any better suggestions we be glad to hear them take into consideration we  are in highschool and will be juniors next year we really wan t to help out thanks !

I would be more interested in something closer to home like; drugs in our neighborhood.  Our children have become the targets of illegal drugs by the enemies of our country.  They believe, that if they can transform our children into their drug addicted slaves, they will have an easier time of conquering us.  Knowing this, why aren't we, and I don't mean the police and the authorities, but us, the parents, the homeowners, the citizens of our great country doing something more about it?  Why should our children want to do drugs in the first place?  When are we going to get involved in this terrible attack on our children?  Oh, I forgot, we don't care because, if we did we would be doing something.
