Before anyone can answer you on how to start a business, you have to seriously brainstorm for yourself on what business you want to start. It is important to find and fill a need if you expect to have a successful business and the best things to get into are to find ways to help people make money, save money, save time, and/or get peace of mind. Once you determine the industry you wish to work in (products, services or a combination) you must focus on the features and benefits. You will have to know yourself, your customers and your competition. Are you understanding now that it's not going to be an overnight process to have a business just because you want a business? It's totally understandable that you don't want a 9-5 routine but most business owners, even at-home businesses, usually end up working even longer hours as they concentrate on learning, talking to customers, arranging suppliers, writing business plans, accounting, setting goals, paperwork, mailing (if appropriate), marketing, and so much more. Having a business isn't easy and there are alot of fears and frustrations. On the other side it can be rewarding and profitable because you will make more money working for yourself than you will working for an employer. There's nothing like earning 100% profit after your expenses and taxes are paid. No employer will pay you that.

Now, what kind of business you venture into should be part of your existing list of hobbies, interests, skills and passions. I had my own website through http://www.wahmshoppes.com ( my host)  I sold childrens items and stuffable plush... I kept the stuffables in my own inventory and then used 3 GREAT dropshippers for the rest.. that way I didn't have to have expensive overhead and still made money on item..my site was pretty successfull  I was sorry I had to close it..
