  1. You would have to persuade the president of the community for the necessity of a recycling program. That would be possible be statistical reference(i.e the economical benefits for the area in a period of time),in addition with a brief honest reference to ur potential as the school leader for example.By manifesting ur promotion ideas(i.e leafleats with motos like"u are dying breathless,do something!","or ur house is not enough,if nothing else exists",)and whatsoever, pressing him to give u a start fund(with school freezes cause of area non-prosperity),u could get the most out of it.Good luck!

  2. 1)observe where the excess comes from. For example: do a lot of people toss their water bottles after a local school's athletic event ? does the local gadget industry have lots of leftover gidget oil ?

    2) find out what can MOST EASILY be done about the problem. For example: Does your county recycle plastic water bottles ?  Can leftover gidget oil be cleaned up & re-used ?

    3) heavily promote the two biggest benefits of recycling your target stuff. For example: plastic bottles can be turned into polar fleece ,  while keeping woodland acreage from being turned into landfills. Re-using cleaned-up gidget oil reduces your area's dependence on pricey foreign oil. (Use lots of photos.)

    4)work with already-established systems & facilities.

for example:  Place a well-labled container for plastic bottles right where the bottles usually get tossed anyway.  Ask the city council to offer a tax break to gadget businesses that will collect & store used gidget oil till it is picked up for cleaning.

    5) involve as many people as you can, especially those who usually aren't in a position to contribute to the community, such as little kids & the developmentally disabled. Everyone can contribute something, even if that's mostly just enthusiasm.

    6) keep on informing people. Never assume that after a year, or whatever, "the public knows about it now". People move away, new people move in,  kids grow up & begin their own households, etc.  so keep on informing.   & make your info visual: have a sign or newspaper ad showing how many house-fulls of plastic bottles you've collected, or how many gallons of gidget oil have been re-used, & the $ amount saved.  People want to feel happy, so give them good news often & say Thank You often !!!

  3. You can talk to anyone in your school to help you out and they will

  4. i totally understand where you're coming from because in my old school they had recycling bins but the teacher confessed that they dont actually recycle the paper people put in it.

you can make bins out of boxes or something but first you need to get a petition together and get a lot of signatures and show it to the principal. the petition should say that the school WILL recycle because otherwise the school might just use bins and not actually recycle. if you wanna make sure it gets done, you can be in charge of the recycling and empty hte bins each week yourself. also, ask your guardian or parent or whoever to go to a parent association meeting or one of those school parent meetings and ask them to bring up recycling. you could even go yourself or with your parent. you could get involved with your school council (president, vice pres etc...) if you have one and suggest that they bring recycling to the schools attention.

    goooodd lucckk

  5. hand out flyer do a fundraiser at school

  6. Best way to start is involve your science teachers, principals. Ask principal for permission.

Also, create your local Recycling Club activity.

Also, get lots of recycle bins (green and white trash bins for paper (Make sure to s***w the lid shot, so student wouldn't throw non-paper-materials in there.

For cafeteria and teacher's dining facility, place blue bins (or cut trash can lid with hole) to indicate bottles/cans only!!

You could also used cardboard box as Battery Recycling, Ink Cartridge Recycling.

  7. I would talk to a counsler, hand out flyers, (at my school everything has to be approved by our student government) so I would go to them and maybe start a "club" that can get together and help with passing out flyers and collecting, then talk to a recycling company to get recycling bins and place then near garbage cans, it would probably work better if kids didnt have to sort them theirselves however, it would be nice, but honestly how many will actually take the time to do so, it would be trial and error but it is a great idea good luck.

  8. Start with non-deposit drink containers, water, juice, etc.  These are easy to recycle and clutter up the planet.
