How can i start an at home day care center?

i want to know if anyone knows anything on how to start a child day care center at home...if you could give me some links or info. on how to start. i live in las vegas also.

i know that you need to fulfill the requirements, but i want to kow what they are.

each state has different requirements and even some counties.  i would suggest that you start with finding out if there is a licensing requirment.  if there is some gov agency will be responsible for it and you can contact them.

Most States require a license and some training.  I would contact both city and State offices to learn more.  

In Texas you can get fined if you have a child care business at home without a license.  Also, if you live in a subdivision with a homeowner's association you cannot run such a business from your home.  Other homeowners do not want strangers coming into the neighborhood even though it is only to drop off kids.
