  1. You could try getting the Rosetta Stone program .

  2. You can teach yourself French but after you get like past the intermediate level than you might want to take some lessons or get a foreign exchange student that speaks French so that you can practice with them.

If your going to start teaching yourself than get a grammar book (because grammar is like the foundation of a language) get a verb book and a reading book because they say that reading is the most effective way to learn a language. (Although you shouldn't read until you at least know some French). Also to help you with pronunciations rent French movies.

I'm teaching myself Italian and trust me it is possible to teach yourself a language if your dedicated to it.

Hope this helps you. Au revoir (Bye in French)

  3. French is a beautiful language. I have been learning it in school for about 5 years, and I would say that I am nearly fluent. The best way to learn a language is to be surrounded by it. You can do this by living in a place where French (works with any other language) is the primary language. Try living in France or Quebec (Quebec is in Canada). Bon chance! (Good luck)

  4. the easiest way to learn a language by far is to be submerged in a country thats language is french, classes will generally teach horrible accents unless the teachers first language is french.. i say this from experience because i learned almost perfect definetly fluent spanish in 6 my first six months of living in Colombia, South America
