  1. list all the reasons you prefer homeschooling and all the reasons you don't want to go back to regular school and paste them whee you can see them daily

  2. try with pcp...

  3. Get an ipod, fill it up with music, sit down with a bunch of HW, and listen while you work.

    yeah baby!!

  4. have someone smack you everytime you forget to do something

  5. plan. and punish yourself.

  6. I was home schooled for a year... I know how it is... the best thing to do to stay focused is to think about the future and all the great things you can accomplish! being in school is such a small part of life on the grand scheme of things!

motivating yourself can be hard, but just remember to think positive and always go into each day trying to do better than before!

once you are done... you will feel gratified and that gratification will stay with you forever!

  7. Look at your future.  You say you're thinking right?  Well, think like this.  "Hey, if I don't get my work done, how am I going to get a good job?"  You can also plan out your work breaks to reward yourself to keep U motivated.  Like, "Okay, I've been an hour on Algebra.  Great job!  I'll take a 25 minute break and play on the computer (or whatever else U do)"  If you do not reach your goal, then punish yourself by adding extra work time.

Easier said than done but you can try it.

Keep yourself motivated by knowing what you want to do when you grow up.  Like, an example may be you want to be a lawyer.  Put a picture of a lawyer on your mirror so that way you can see your goal every day when you wake up!  Just make sure you tape it up good so you it will be hard to tear it down on your I-Can't-Do-This-Work-I'm-So-Dumb Days.  LoL.  Keep yourself motivated by looking at your goal every time you want to give up.

Just make sure you try to get breaks, if you don't then you'll especially want to not do any work.  Don't make them too long though!  =)

  8. Remember what its like to be poor!

  9. Im a junior peer mediator and I cant tell you how many times people have come to me about their study problems. The main thing with motivation is to have a goal. Find a job you really want to do when you get older. Then applly what you need for that job into your studys.

    If you need anything else.

  10. I had this same exact problem because I just started an online high school a couple months ago. I set a schedule, I work for a couple hours, then I take like a one hour break and eat lunch, listen to music, etc. I think it's easy to set a schedule and then set aside some time to "reward" yourself and have a little fun. Also, I set aside one day a week for the heavy work (like the projects and big homework assignments) and the rest is for learning. :)

  11. Set yourself up on a reward system and stick to it...

  12. you have to set yourself a goal

reward yourself when you get the work done!!

  13. Written goals,

    Routine, and rewards!!

  14. Yeah

tell the responsible adults in your life that you are sick and tired of not being able to interact with children your age from the hours of say 8:00am until 2:30pm on a five day a week (avg) basis.

you can't be motivated until they do something about it!

  15. calm down! u just have to focus. thats wat i started doin, and i all A's! even im taking honors and math 2 grades ahead! stay strong! ♥ coolcatz7

  16. Unfortunately it's on you! Motivation is shown through enthusiasm. Therefore. the best answer is to "ACT" enthusiastic. Your subconscious will pick up on this and take over. Before long you will really BE enthusiastic. I'm not a psychologist so I can't explain how this works, I only know it does. Try it! What have you got to lose!

  17. it's easy

  18. I received a quote in my inbox today related to this:

Some people say motivation doesn't stick. Well either does a shower-that's why we advise you to take one everyday.---Zig Ziglar

So, you see, it's a matter of DAILY renewing your commitment to your work. Daily figuring out what your goal is. Daily planning how much to get done to be satisfied with. You aren't going to be motivated one day and it'll last forever.
